About The 2019 Event

The Bishop Kelly Foundation held its 43rd Winner’s Choice Dinner and Auction on Saturday, November 2nd, at the Boise Centre.   The theme was A Spanish Knight, and chairs were Daphne & Carey McNeal and Michael and Carmen Hormaechea.  For those of you who were/are new to the event or to Bishop Kelly, it is called “Winner’s Choice” because the purchasers of each ticket-for-two have a chance to win their choice of a new car from the Auto Ranch Group.  The winning raffle ticket was drawn that evening, and the lucky winners were Bill and Judy Post,  past BK parents and grandparents who have purchased tickets to the event for decades!

Each ticket also included dinner for two, wine, dessert, and dancing afterwards.  Dress was black-tie optional and formal or cocktail attire for women.  Many women dress with a Spanish flair in keeping with the theme and looked stunning.  A silent auction of wonderful items preceded dinner, which was followed by an exciting live auction–starting off with a flamenco dancer!

This is the largest fund raising event held in support of Bishop Kelly, and proceeds make up over 40% of the Foundation’s annual operating and financial assistance grants.  We are grateful for your support, which this year resulted in a record net amount raised:  $514,000!  Thank to to all our chairs, volunteers, attendees and donors for this incredibly successful evening.
