ABOUT THIS YEAR’S EVENT
The 2015 Winner’s Choice Gala will be held November 7, 2015, at the Boise Centre. For those of you who haven’t attended in the past, it is a black-tie optional event, and ticket purchase includes dinner for two and a chance to win a 2015 automobile provided by Mountain Home Auto Ranch. (Single tickets are also available. Contact Rita Franklin at 323-4789 for more information).
This year’s chairs are James and Christin Steele and Todd and Paula McCurry. All four of them happen to be BK alums as well as current BK parents–that’s never happened before! Our theme this year is “A Knight In Vegas” and although we won’t have Vegas gambling, attendees will have a chance to win that car, and we also have Golden Tickets available for sale. The winner will have their choice of $5000 in tuition anywhere OR one of our live auction items. Save the Date cards are in the mail, with invitations to follow. Thank you for visiting our Winner’s Choice Auction site. The event was held on a rainy Saturday, November 1, 2014, at the Boise Centre, but the rain didn’t stop the guests or the good times!
If you weren’t able to attend, you can check out our program (click link above) and see what was available as well as all the donors that helped make this evening possible. There were wonderful silent and live items, from gift certificates of all kinds, to sporting events and gear, trips, toys, baskets, and great Christmas gift possibilities.
In addition, we also had an online auction, and will do that again next year. Those items were not at the event (except the preview live items, of course), and it was another great way to support BK.
The evening of the event, we also honored two special men who have made Bishop Kelly the great place that it: Mark Jaszkowski and David Skinner, who received the Order of the Knight Awards. You can read about their contributions to Bishop Kelly in the program.
There were big winner’s at the event, too…Jennifer Lenoue won a $5,000 tuition gift voucher from the Golden Ticket Raffle, and Brekk Bass and Lauren Franklin (BK alum ’08) were the winners of a new car from Kendall Ford–the highlight of the evening!
The event was an incredible success, netting $388,000, and those funds will be used for operating expenses (which lowers tuition for all families) and need-based financial assistance for those who would otherwise not be able to attend Bishop Kelly. Thank you to everyone who made the evening such a success!
