ABOUT THIS YEAR’S EVENT

The 42st Bishop Kelly Foundation Winner’s Choice Dinner and Auction was held on November 10, 2018, at the Boise Centre.  The theme was “Hollywood Knights”, and chairs Kris & Brad Granger and Daphne & Carey McNeal, recreated the feel and glamour of old Hollywood for our guests.  An army of volunteers executed the vision for this theme, led by Paula McCurry, Kim McAlvain, Haley Lamey, Julie Alves,  Melissa Sadlek, Claudia Weathermon-Tester, Katie Dolby and their teams, and as they’ve done in the past, they did an extraordinary job of creating a beautiful effect.

As many of you know, it is called “Winner’s Choice” because each ticket-for-two includes a chance to win a car from The Auto Ranch Group.  The winner this year was Joan Melvin, who was accompanied to the event by her daughter, Kendahl (BK ’10)

Dress was black tie optional, and the guests took advantage of the theme to dress Hollywood style.

As many of you know, there was also an opportunity to purchase a Golden Ticket.  This is separate and apart from the car drawing.  For $100 per ticket, and only 200 tickets sold, the winner had a chance to win one of the wonderful live auction items!  Father Gerald Funke was the winner, but decline the prize, and in his name, the Foundation directed a scholarship gift to St. Paul’s and St. Joe’s students who will be attending Bishop Kelly.

It was a wonderful, fun “knight” in support of Bishop Kelly.  Thank you everyone who participated in some way to help make it a record-year success!

Photos will be uploaded soon.
