ABOUT THIS YEAR’S EVENT

The 41st Bishop Kelly Foundation Winner’s Choice Dinner and Auction will be held on November 11, 2017 at the Boise Centre.  The theme this year will be Scary, Scary Knight!  Chairs Haley and Dave Lamey and their co-chairs, Kris and Brad Granger, will have fun selecting the decor for an elegant “knight” around that theme.  Dress is black-tie optional, as is the norm, or–in keeping with theme–formal masquerade attire optional as well.

Save the date cards were mailed in August, with invitations to follow in late September.  Tickets may be purchased by phone or online, or via the RSVP card in the invitation (although you do not need an invitation to order tickets).  For more information, to make a donation of an auction item, contact Rita Franklin at rfranklin@bk.org or 323-4789.

ABOUT LAST YEAR’S EVENT

The 2016 Winner’s Choice  Gala was held November 12, 2016, at the Boise Centre.  This year’s winners of a new automobile from Mountain Home Auto Ranch were Rod and Julie Gramer.  Rod is a BK Alum from the Class of 1971!

Our theme was “A Diamond Knight”, symbolizing the excellence, quality, and value of Bishop Kelly and its student.  In addition to the car drawing, there was a drawing for a beautiful diamond necklace, generously donated by Simmons Fine Jewelry.  The diamond was won by Rodney Reider.  The Golden Ticket Raffle drawing was also held, and the prize was either $5,000 in tuition anywhere OR one of the live auction items.  The winners, John and Joan Carley, selected dinner for 10 at Chandlers.  They declined the prize, and 5 faculty members and their guests enjoyed the dinner instead in February.

The Order of the Knight Recipients, awarded annually to an individual or couple who has made significant contributions to the advancement of Bishop Kelly High School and the Bishop Kelly Foundation, were Dick & Jody Mooney and George & Cheryl Colwell.  You can read their bios and incredible contributions to BK in the program link above.

Guests also enjoyed our photo booth, delicious dinner paired with specially selected wines, and yummy desserts before a very successful live auction, which for the first time, included two cars!  One car was a classic, mint-condition 1999 Mercedes with 28,000 miles on it, donated by long-time supporters John and Dee Fery.  The other was a new 2017 Scion IM, generously donated by DH and Margaret Moss, BK parents and owners of Tom Scott Toyota.

Thank you to all those who make this evening a record success! Feel free to view our 2016-event-program.
